Before you hire anyone

The worries we hear before every app project

An app is a big decision, and most people come to us after a bad experience or a horror story. Here is how we answer each worry, before you sign anything.

What if it costs twice what I was told?

Written quote and scope

Every screen and feature is written down and agreed before we start. If you want something new mid-build, we quote it first, so you decide.

What if I'm locked in to one developer?

You own everything

The code, designs, data and App Store and Google Play accounts are in your business's name. Move on any time and take it all with you.

What if the store rejects it?

Built for review from day one

We follow Apple's and Google's guidelines while we build, prepare the store listing and privacy details, and handle the submission with you.

What if nobody uses it?

Start from the problem

We check who the app is for and the one job it must do well, then design the first minutes of use around that job and plan how people will find it at launch.

What if it breaks after launch?

A team that stays

Phones and operating systems change every year. We plan updates with you, so the app keeps working on new devices.

What if I can't see progress?

Weekly updates, monthly report

You see working screens every week while we build, and a plain-language report every month after launch.

Proof, not promises

We build our own apps, too

GrixTrack, GrixFit and DooDuangHub are Grixhub products. Every design choice is our own money and our own users, so we know what it takes to plan, ship and grow an app, and we bring those lessons to your project.

Building something for your team rather than the public, like a portal, dashboard or booking system? That is a custom web app, and we build those too. See our website development page for websites.

Honest advice

Mobile app, web app or a website first?

Not every idea needs an app in the store. We help you choose the format that fits how your customers or team will actually use it, then build it.

What about a LINE mini app?

A LINE mini app is a web app that opens inside LINE, so your customers don't download anything. It is built on LINE's LIFF technology and suits bookings, member cards, coupons and simple ordering, especially when your customers already chat with you on LINE OA. New mini apps start unverified; passing LINE's review unlocks the verified badge, a home-screen shortcut and a place in LINE search. A native iOS and Android app makes more sense for daily use, offline use or full access to the phone. Many businesses start with a LINE mini app or a fast website, prove people use it, then build a native app. We tell you honestly which fits.

Yours to keep

You own the app. All of it.

The most common app horror story is a business that paid for an app but can’t touch it. That never happens with us.

  • Your source code and design files belong to your business.
  • Your App Store and Google Play accounts are in your company’s name, not ours.
  • Your users’ data stays yours, handled with PDPA consent built in.
  • No lock-in. If you ever move on, you take everything with you.

After launch

Launch day is the start, not the finish

Research on 2.3 million Google Play apps found most were later removed, and apps with an accompanying website survived more often (ACM study). Apps last when someone keeps caring for them.

  • Updates for new phones and new iOS and Android versions.
  • Fixes and improvements based on what your users actually do.
  • A launch plan. Before launch day we agree how people will hear about the app, through LINE OA, your website, SEO or ads, and which numbers show it is being used.

FAQ

App development: your questions, answered

How much does it cost to build an app?

Every app is quoted individually from a written scope. The price depends on the number of screens and user flows, the platforms, features and integrations, the admin system and languages. You see the full quote before any work starts. What decides the cost of an app.

How long does it take to build an app?

It depends on the number of screens, features and integrations. Your written scope includes the timeline for your project, and you get a weekly update while we build.

Do you build for both iOS and Android?

Yes. We build mobile apps for iPhone and Android, and web apps that run in the browser. We recommend the right mix for how your users will use it.

Do I need a mobile app or a web app?

A mobile app suits daily use, loyalty, bookings and push notifications. A web app suits portals, dashboards and internal tools with no store review. Sometimes a fast website is the best first step. We help you choose.

Who owns the app and the source code?

You do. The source code, designs, data and your App Store and Google Play accounts belong to your business. There is no lock-in.

Will you publish the app to the App Store and Google Play?

Yes. We prepare the store listings and privacy details, follow Apple's and Google's guidelines during the build and handle the submission with you.

What happens after the app launches?

We keep the app updated for new phones and operating systems, fix and improve it based on real use and send a monthly report. We also train your team at handover.

Can you connect LINE, PromptPay or my booking system?

Yes. We connect LINE login and LINE OA, PromptPay and other payments, booking systems, PDPA consent, CRMs, maps, analytics and push notifications.

Have you built apps before?

Yes. We build our own apps: GrixTrack for Google rank and AI-citation tracking, GrixFit for fitness and DooDuangHub for Thai horoscopes. All three are in development, and the lessons from them go into your project.

Should I build a LINE mini app or a native app?

Start with a LINE mini app if your customers already reach you on LINE and the app does a few clear jobs, like bookings, member cards or coupons. It opens inside LINE, so nobody has to download anything. Choose a native app when people will use it every day, need offline use or full access to the phone, or you want your own icon on the home screen. We recommend the right one after the discovery call.

Can my team update the app content ourselves?

Yes, when your scope includes an admin system. We build the back office your team uses to manage content, users and orders, and we train your team at handover, so day-to-day changes don't need a developer.

How do you make sure people actually use the app?

We plan for it from the start. We design the first minutes of use around the one job the app must do well, then agree a launch plan before launch day: how people will hear about the app through LINE OA, your website, SEO or ads, and which numbers show it is being used.
