Guide

How link previews work

1

Open Graph tags

og:title, og:description and og:image tell apps what to show.

2

LINE uses three tags

LINE says it uses only og:title, og:description and og:image. Without them, it falls back to the page title and text.

3

Previews can be cached

Apps may keep an old preview for a while after you change tags.

4

X preview

X removed the preview in its Card Validator. Check a draft post in the X composer instead.

Why it matters

Why it matters for your business

Links get shared everywhere

Customers share links in LINE, WhatsApp, Facebook and Slack. A broken card looks untrustworthy.

Any language

Make sure titles in Thai, English or other languages show correctly and are not cut too early.

Promotions

Shared promotion pages need the right image and text.

When to use
